347-470-DESIPantene Pro V has recently launched their Beautiful Lengths campaign to encourage men and women of all ages to donate 8 inches of hair. The donated hair will be used to create free wigs for cancer patients. One wig takes approximately three to four months to make and uses about six ponytails worth of hair.
Their current goal is to reach a million inches of hair and from the response they’ve been getting, I don’t think they’ll have a problem. Hilary Swank has made an example of herself by donating her own 8 inches. My friend Crystal is currently in the process of doing the same. I would have loved to participate but unfortunately I have permanently dyed hair. =(
